Physically, Mesofera is a round table that fits 8-10 children guided by a teacher, or tutor, on which children learn having fun with familiar sensory knowledge games. Mesofera was inspired and based on Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences.
The knowledge table doesn’t contain updatable content. They’re atemporal interactive-recreational experiences that challenge every child’s skills and capacities. And at the same time making them aware of their own learning process.
These interactive-recreational experiences come with work tools for the desk/table such as three language expression palettes: plastic (colored palettes), linguistic (keyboard or lettered palettes), and musical (musical keyboard). Children are free to write or draw on four different levels through masks that adapt themselves into what we call a humanistic journey, from the cosmos all the way to the atom. From the enormous to the minuscule. A frame that’s large enough so that they can interact within and understand all there is about the universe we live.

The first phase of the journey begins at the “cosmos” level, where children can generate constellations, galaxies, and stars, in order to work on an exercise given by the teacher. Whether it’s touching the “solar system”, testing a planet’s gravity or composing music, with these journeys into several subjects, they’ll learn by playing. On a lower level, their fingers touch and expand “planet Earth”. They discover its oceans, its continents, while moving their fingers across all the countries. The teacher can also lean on top of this interactive-recreational base while interacting with the students on subjects such as art, science, geography, history, politics, economy, philosophy, etc.
With the colored palette or keyboard, a tutor can challenge the children to draw Europe’s rivers, write the names of capitals where they belong, paint mountain chains, explain excursions or tell stories about empires, understand art’s history, make music with molecules, etc….The planets, the earth or a map of the world are simply layers or bases that work as an open foundation/platform for painting, drawing, writing, pointing, coloring…
This focal point or metaphysical journey (a journey through the solar system to planet Earth, from its countries to its molecules) serves as a platform on which a teacher or guide can propose learning experiences through games. As well as an emotional frame so that the child can open their eyes to the immensity and value of all that surrounds him.
It’s also possible to work with the language palettes on a “white” base so that groups of children can play with their imagination and compose written stories with illustrations all together. It can be an ideal starting point for introducing reading and writing as a way to develop more complex story-telling skills for young people.

The idea would be the ability to change the core themes while maintaining the language palettes. In other words, establish bases of works by 20th century painters or an art background over which the children can trace, copy, deform, or leave their impressions on by using their fingers. The bases can be multi-dimensional or texturized in order to work over concepts like cubism or expressionism.
