Once we finished the creation stage, its physical construction and the development of our first mesofera, “betha,” we had to assure its true usefulness by letting professors and students meet it and get close to it.
Over a two-week period some 600 students at the kindergarten, elementary and high school levels interacted in a Mesofera group. Some 10 teachers of various disciplines got to know it, asked questions, touched it, got excited, and overcame their fear of it. Three teachers repeated sessions and began adapting exercises to Mesofera. It was also decided that some groups from different courses/academic years should repeat the sessions up to three times. It didn’t take much for the kids to familiarize themselves with a tool that speaks their same language.
We were constantly evaluating it and taking down a long list of improvements in terms of its usability, functionality, ergonomics, technical aspects, etc.
The knowledge that it would be well received by everyone at the school was the most valuable conclusion we came away with from our first clinic. Teachers and students positively welcomed the idea of having a tool that would become a complement and reinforcement to books or other conventional methods.
